Available CoursesDesigned as an introduction to teaching, this course is intended for work-based assessors who are delivering underpinning skills as part of their delivery, but is also suitable for anyone wishing to enter teaching or training in the Lifelong Learning Sector. This qualification is designed for candidates who need to gain the appropriate qualification for an associate teaching role in the Lifelong Learning Sector. This term has a focus on theories of first and second language acquisition, bilingualism, oral versus written language, teaching reading, spelling and grammar, error analysis, semantics, pragmatics and discourse analysis as well as embedded learning. This is a hands on workshop to introduce participants to a range of technologies that can be used to support teaching and learning. For work-based learners who want to develop the communication skills needed to work with customers. For work-based learners who want to develop the communication skills needed to work as carers.
